About Us

Tourism is a necessary economic tool that unfortunately does not always benefit the community visited. The after effects, food insecurity and homelessness have been linked to tourism, driving prices up on both food and shelter. In short, the more in demand the tourist area the higher the population of hunger and homelessness, with tourism as the leading cause, fueling the rising costs of living in those areas. The United Nations lists Zero Hunger as the second of seventeen goals for the world. We believe in large cities hunger can go unnoticed when large tourism budgets are focused on attracting more visitors and not the effects of tourism on the local communities. Sustainable tourism is gaining prominence in recent years because travelers have become more aware of their environmental and social impact. It is our intent to make sustainable travel easier to accomplish for the average traveler. Hunger and homelessness can challenge a city’s reputation and undermine a tourists’ intention to visit, causing perceptions of the city to turn negative. We do not want any city to be a victim of its own success. We want to encourage long-term sustainability and discourage deterioration and decline. It is our vision to make every city a destination with our travel sustainability credentials, that has proven to effect improvement. Attracting like-minded travelers that can visit freely with their destination’s best interest in mind, is at the heart of our mission. And giving travelers a more meaningful experience, is our top priority.
